  • Medicinal Tourism The medicinal baths of Amoudara (20 km from Kastoria) are suitable for the treatments of rheumatic diseases, skin diseases and arthritic diseases. The water treatment facilities are some of the most modern and operate all year long.
  • Religious Tourism Kastoria is a live museum of byzantine art. The tour at its numerous monuments can give you a full picture of the different phases and expressions of the ecclesiastical art from the end of the 9th century to the 14th century. Panagia Koubelidiki, Taxiarchis Mitropoleos, Agios Stefanos, Agios Georgios of Omorfoklisia, Agioi Anargiroi, Panagia of Zevgostasi and Agios Nikolaos of Kasnitzis are some of the approximately 80 amazing churches. The monasteries of the area: the Monastery of Panagia Mavriotisa, in Kastoria, of Agioi Anargiroi of Melisotopos, of Agios Nikolaos of Korisos, of Panagia Klisoura, of Agia Paraskevi Vasiliada, they are all typical of the religious tradition of the area, and visitors can enjoy the traditional hospitality of the monks.
  • Hunting The woody mountains of the area (Gramos, Vitsi) are suitable for hunting. The usual prey includes rabbits, partridges, boars, thrushes.
  • Photography The natural beauty of Kastoria and the variety of the landscape over the seasons can offer great inspiration to amateurs and also professional photographers.
